How Selected

A Jury Commission appointed by state and county officials receive a list of all eligible voters and all licensed drivers in the county from the North Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles.  A list of those deceased in the past two (2) years and a list from the state of county residents with felonies are removed from the master list. This master list is the basis for the computer to randomly select the jurors for the following two (2) years.  Every person on the Master List has the same probability of being selected to serve.   Grand Jurors are randomly selected from the jury pool.
