Rev. Hudson was born 9/7/1892 in Anson County to David Divinity and Martha Atkinson Hudson.
He was a graduate of Wingate College and Wake Forrest University in 1922 He also graduated from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. He held pastorates at Gastonia, Catawba, Pleasant Plains and Spruce Pine. He was a Chaplain while serving in WWII. He married Maye Helms and they had two daughters: Nancy H. Ferguson and Carilee H. Corey, both of Monroe.
He died 9/28/1984 and is buried in the Monroe Cemetery.
